Specifically focusing on improving parenting skills, parent-child relationships, decreasing social isolation, increasing child self-esteem and providing child-focused activities such as preschool programs and play groups.

Violence is Preventable (VIP) & believe
Since 2004, PEACE Programs have been partnering with BC schools and community educators of grades K – 12 to increase awareness about domestic violence and the impact domestic violence has on children and youth.
The Violence is Preventable (V.I.P.) project is a school-based educational presentation on domestic violence prevention. The V.I.P. project supports children and youth in:
· Recognizing the effects and myths about domestic violence
· Distinguishing between healthy and unhealthy ways of expressing anger
· Expressing their feelings and experiences in a safe place
PEACE programs are also faced with questions about experiences of sexual violence happening to students in BC schools. In response, as an extension of the V.I.P. project, the BELIEVE project was developed to focus on helping students in grades 6-8 understand healthy relationships and sexual violence specifically on topics such as consent, sexting, sexual harassment and how one can access support.
