Christmas can be an extremely difficult time for many of our clients. Many are single women and supporting their families on their own. The financial burdens these women face during the year are daunting enough and the extra expenses of Christmas can be very difficult to address.
Due to the overwhelming support and generosity of the community for our organization, every year we are able to be the intermediary between our clients and donors who want to assist our clients at Christmas. Donors range from individual families to small businesses to community-minded organizations. Due to the sensitive nature of our work, the donors and our clients cannot have direct contact.
The support we receive from our donors, whether they have been with us for many years or not, is crucial to us – especially during the Christmas season. We are incredibly grateful for this support and encouragement, as are our clients. This time of year can be especially painful for many of our clients and the care and concern that is given to them – by complete strangers – gives them an amazing source of joy and hope which carries them through the Christmas season and into the new year.
